What is geocaching?
Geocaching is a treasure hunting game played outside with global positioning system (GPS) devices. The goal of the game is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using your GPS device. The geocaches contain small trinkets or treasures as well as a logbook so players can share their geocaching experience. Anyone with a GPS unit can play!
What is the meaning of the word "geocache"?
The first part of the word, GEO, stands for geography, and the second part of the word CACHE is computer terms for storing information. The word "cache" is also used in hiking and camping terminology to refer to a hiding place for items.
How do I use a GPS unit for geocaching?
You will need to set up your GPS using waypoints, or the GPS coordinates given to find the geocache. If you do not know how to enter waypoints in your specific GPS device, consult your GPS unit's manual.
What is usually in a cache?

Can I move the cache?
